What it means
The transaction amount is invalid or not allowed, for example it is malformed or exceeds a permitted limit.
Why it happens
The amount was formatted incorrectly, is zero or negative, or is outside the range the card allows.
If you’re the cardholder
Verify the amount with your issuer or try a different amount.
If you’re the merchant
Check how the amount is formatted and that it is within allowed limits before resubmitting.
