Why it happens
The number was mistyped, contains a digit error, or the card BIN does not match any known issuer range.
If you’re the cardholder
Re-enter the card number carefully and check it matches the physical card.
If you’re the merchant
Validate the card number client-side and prompt the customer to correct it before resubmitting.
