Expired Card
What it means
The card has passed its expiration date and can no longer be used, or the expiry date submitted does not match the card on file.
Why it happens
The card's valid-through date has passed, or the expiration month/year entered does not match the issuer's records.
If you’re the cardholder
Use a card that has not expired, or enter the correct expiration date.
If you’re the merchant
Prompt the customer for updated card details and, for saved cards, use an account updater service.
